    Prices for Chinese selenium powder rose slowly in early August; but as demand showed weakness in mid to late August, increases in prices lacked the support, leaving prices for Chinese selenium powder largely stale at the end of the month.Asian Metal Copyright Prices for Chinese tellurium metal became stable after a slight rebound in early August; but market transactions were quite limited as downstream demand was weak and most consumers only purchased from hand to mouth or consumed the existing stocks.Asian Metal Copyright While prices for selenium dioxide went up noticeably due to tight spot supply and constantly increasing electrolytic manganese prices, which further boosted firm crude selenium prices.
