Manganese flake prices were stable in the Chinese market in the first half of July, but edged up at the end of the month due to strongly positive market sentiment in the second half of the month resulting from rising prices for manganese ore and silicomanganese as well as increasing tender volumes and prices from steel mills at the end of the month. It is anticipated that spot supply of manganese flake will be rather tight in August and prices will continue to be on the upward trend.
