Chinese stainless steel prices saw an upward trend during this month mainly because of tight supply from steel mills and increase in steel mills’ list prices. However, as raw material prices of nickel went down and demand from downstream customers remained weak, the market sales performance continued to be bad. Although September is the traditionally high season for steel industry, insiders do not expect stainless steel prices to rise greatly.
