Prices of most Chinese stainless steel products witnessed an upward trend during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs. However, demand from downstream customers remained weak amid the traditionally low season and the market sales performance did not improve. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not expect the price to increase further in the following month.
