19 major suspects arrested in Kunming Fanya' illegal fund-raising event

On June 22, People's Government of Kunming announced that Kunming’s public security bureau has generally verified Kunming Fanya’ illegal fund-raising event after various investigations in Kunming Fanya Nonferrous Metals Exchange Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kunming Fanya Nonferrous), related partner companies and authorized service agencies. 19 major suspects including Shan Jiuliang have been arrested by local police.
Kunming Government claimed in an announcement about the result for this case that Kunming’s public security bureau has ferreted out assets, funds and more than 70,000t of ferrous metals involved in this case.
From April 1 to June 15, there are 27,974 investors registered in “personal information registration platform of illegal fund-raising” with funds of RMB7.837 billion declared. In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors, all investors are expected to make a comprehensive, accurate and truthful registration before June 30, 2016 and actively cooperate with the public security bureau in investigation and evidence collection.
At present, the case is under further investigation.
