The Chinese vanadium market saw decreasing prices in May. The downstream market remained dim and consumers just adopted hand-to-mouth purchasing strategy. Some traders who held stocks of ferrovanadium and vanadium nitride were in no hurry to achieve deals, so the prices for downstream products went down. By the end of May, ferrovanadium 50%min had decreased by RMB2,000/t (USD0.6/kg V), while those for vanadium nitride had dropped by RMB3,000/ (USD0.6/kg V). As for the vanadium pentoxide flake 98% market, the producers held the prices stable. Up to the end of May, the prices remained same as those of late April.
