Electrical steel market prices maintained the upward trend in major domestic cities during the month, due to steel producers’ higher ex-works prices. However, the demand for electrical steel remained weak and prices started to show signs of falling at the end of May. Moreover, prices of raw materials including iron ore and CRC decreased sharply during the month. Therefore, insiders believe that Chinese electrical steel will fall to some extent in June.
