HRC prices declined sharply during the month, dragged down by falling raw material prices and the slow market. Meanwhile, the downward price trend heightened the cautious attitude among end users, who held back from placing orders. This lack of confidence in the market outlook meant traders refused to build large stockpiles. Given that downstream demand will shrink further in June due to the high temperatures and continuous rain, insiders foresee a further price decrease in the month ahead.
