In March, though most producers in zirconium industry resumed production, they ran in low operating rates for slow downstream demand and slack transactions. In overseas zircon sand market, RBM reduced prices in early March, then in the latter half of March, Tronox and Iluka were forced to move down prices to compete for deals. In domestic market, as a reaction to decreased foreign zircon sands’ prices, domestic one dropped accordingly and other zirconium products’ prices fell in different degrees.
