Inventories of silicon metal continued to decrease in Chinese spot market with the majority of furnaces in South China still out of production, resulting in price increase of the metal in the second half of February when more buyers returned to the market to check prices. Export prices rose in line with the price increase in Chinese domestic market with more buyers come into inquiring for Q2 orders.
