Prices for Chinese stainless flat steel products went down slightly during this month on lower raw material costs of nickel and weak customer demand, and those of stainless steel long products were generally stable. Because of the Spring Festival holiday, most market participants left the market for about two weeks and the sales performance continued to be poor. Considering downstream customers are still struggling amid the gloomy economy and their demand for stainless steel is hard to be released in the short term, insiders do not expect the market to improve in March.
