The demand from end users on manganese alloys kept dull in September, since there was the parade holiday in early September and the market saw rare purchase activities, resulting in the supply was adequate and the price sharply fell, especially after the steel mills substantially decreased the tender prices for October in late September.
Manganese alloy market remained sluggish and manganese ore prices were hard to hold firm. Meanwhile, the foreign suppliers decreased the quotation in view of the dull Chinese market situation and weaker demand, and the users tried their best to lower the purchase price due to the falling foreign quotation. In this case, manganese ore prices declined in September.
