1. Tungsten concentrate reserve and the statistics of its capacity & output in Russia
1.1 Russian tungsten concentrate reserve
According to the data in 2012 from United States Geological Survey, the total reserves of tungsten resources in the global were about 3.5 million tons as of 2012, and the reserves of tungsten resources in Russia were about 250,000t, accounting for 7 . 2% of the total figure in the world and ranking third after China and Canada . The tungsten resources in Russia mainly distribute in Siberia and the Far East . The downstream demands in ferrotungsten and tungsten oxide industries were quiet, and the market price of tungsten concentrate declined in the first half (H1) o f 2015 . Although the tungsten resources in Russia are abundant, the mining outputs of tungsten concentrate in H1 of 2015 were only about 3,100-3,300t, seeing a decrease of 23 . 2% year on year influenced by the financing difficulty and the limitation of mining technology.
