Electrical steel prices continued to go down during the month, in the absence of strong support from downstream demand. Moreover, several leading Chinese electrical steel producers’ ex-works prices for August production fell further. Considering end users’ non-committal purchasing attitude and the lack of confidence shown by domestic traders, insiders believe that electrical steel prices will maintain a downward trend in August.
