Steel plate prices decreased sharply in the first week of July, while they fluctuated during the remaining three weeks. Demand continued to be insufficient in the traditional off-season and the market performance remained disappointing. Given that a succession of mills undertook facility maintenance during the month and deliveries to the market will be reduced in August, insiders deem that the steel plate price is likely to rise next month.
