Chinese vanadium market remained weak in 2014. As the downstream steel market was more and more sluggish, end users lacked enthusiasm in production and their demand for vanadium alloy decreased. Producers were forced to reduce prices to compete for orders, and some plants reduced or even halted production under the pressure of environmental protection and deficit. Chinese vanadium market was shrinking generally.
