The Chinese cadmium ingot market continued to be dim in June with the situation having lasted for some months, while prices keep going down. With weak demand in the Chinese market, import volumes for cadmium bars also decreased, though prices were competitive. The spot market was quiet this month, downstream users entered the market and only made purchases as and when they were actually needed, and the purchase volume began to reduce for the first time following the arrival of the off-season.
