HRC prices went down sharply nationwide during the month, and the market saw a lack of activity. As leading domestic producers like Baosteel, WISCO, Ansteel and Bengang Steel and so on had lowered their HRC list prices for July production by RMB80-150/t (USD12.8-24.2/t), market participants were pessimistic about the market outlook. Insiders think the HRC price is likely to maintain a downward trend in July.
