Price of antimony metal decreased in April, and market insiders had prepared for further decline in May, but decreasing space is still out of market expectation. Most smelters keep low level of operating rate. Under continuous weak demand and active smuggling, suppliers face great downward pressure in price. Export price for antimony metal also goes down, with tightness seen in April alleviated and weak demand in overseas market, it is hard for exporters to increase offer later.
