As a reaction to the decreasing output, Australian zircon sand suppliers raised quotations for Q2 shipment. Domestically produced zircon sand price increased slightly in early April. Following the price rise of zircon sand, Chinese zirconium oxychloride and zirconium silicate producers held prices firm and some tentatively lifted quotations. After the slight increase in early April, Chinese zircon sand price was not pushed up further as demand saw no improvement. In the second half of April, Chinese zircon sand, zirconium oxychloride and zirconium silicate prices kept largely stable.
