As demand from downstream industry remained soft, rare earth market was still inactive in April, with few deals concluded
. The prices for most rare earth products declined . Markets for PrNd oxide and mischmetal kept in low performance and consumers reduced purchasing volumes in order to avoid losses caused by further price decrease . The markets for dysprosium oxide and ferrodysprosium 80%min witnessed weakening demand and sliding price . Impacted by dim rare earth phosphor powder industry, there were limited buying activities in europium and yttrium markets . Terbium market saw few deals and dropping price . The markets for lanthanum and cerium were still controlled by purchasers and consumers held wait-and-see attitudes . As downstream demand showed no signs of rebounding, participants lack confidence in rare earth market in May and rare earth prices are still supposed to decline further .
