The Chinese stainless steel market saw no improvements in March and prices moved down affected by sliding raw material costs and weak demand from customers. Many stainless pipe and bar producers were forced to quit production after they failed to receive sufficient orders. Considering the poor state of the economy and cautious attitude adopted by customers, insiders predict that stainless steel prices are unlikely to rebound in April.
