Most plants suspended production for maintenance in February as a result of the Spring Festival holiday. Upstream supply and downstream consumption remained at low levels. End users made purchases only when they needed and had no intention to stock large amount of materials. Transactions in Chinese tungsten market were scarce. As tungsten concentrate producers didn’t have large amount of inventories, they were still hesitant to sell and increased their offers to see whether consumers could accept that or not.
