Youfa Steel hikes welded pipe export prices

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 19 Mar 15 - Being located in Tianjin, Youfa Steel hikes export offers for welded pipe because of higher prices for raw materials. As sales are almost equal to the target level, the mill may maintain offers unchanged next week.
A source from the mill tells to Asian Metal that his current export price of welded pipe Q195-235 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is USD420/t FOB Tianjin Port with freight container, up by USD5/t over that of last week.
Noted by the source, prices for raw materials including hot rolled strip and steel billet increased significantly in past several days of this week in North China, with the markup for the latter of about RMB70/t (USD11/t). “The upward trend in upstream market stimulates domestic demand and more projects were recovered in past two weeks,” he explains, foreseeing a stable offer next week. As new orders increase, he informs that the delivery time extends from 30 days to 45 days after the order is placed.
