Wolf Minerals prepares to start production at the Hemerdon Project in Q3 2015

LONDON (Asian Metal) 24 Feb 15 - Wolf Minerals Limited (ASX: WLF, AIM: WLFE) indicated in a corporate presentation that the Hemerdon Project, a tungsten and tin project based in England, is on target for production in Q3 this year
The Hemerdon mine is forecasted to produce 3 million tonnes of ore each year, with a WO3 production of 3,450 tonnes and tin production of 460 tonnes each annum by onsite facilities. 80% of the tungsten concentrate is supplied to GTP (Plansee) and Wolfram Berbau und Hutten (Sandvik) with a five year delivery schedule in placed, while an agreement is signed with Traxys for the tin marketing.
According to the company’s cost calculation, the total production cost of the WO3, including the tin credits, is at USD170/mtu. Asian Metal is reporting WO3 50%min at USD210-230/mtu
. Majority of the constructions at the site in Devon, including haul road, top soil removal, concrete, high voltage power and equipment delivery, are completed with structural steel erection and mine waste facility at 80% and 60% complete respectively.
