The Chinese vanadium market saw limited buying activities and sliding prices in November. Under the influence of the dim downstream market and the pressure from buyers, producers were forced to accept price declines in order to maintain clients and achieve deals. Some plants have halted production because they have been in deficit already, and concentrated more on clearing stocks. However, the oversupply continued to drive vanadium prices down. Meanwhile, the Chinese vanadium export market was slack. Most overseas buyers only made purchases based on long-term contracts and the demand in spot market was poor.
