Market prices for grain oriented electrical steel continued to go up this month, supported by higher ex-works prices from WISCO and Baosteel, as well as improved sales performance. Meanwhile, the non-grain oriented electrical steel market was still sluggish with downstream demand remaining unreleased. Insiders believe grain oriented electrical steel prices will increase further next month, while prices for non-grain oriented electrical steel will remain unchanged.
