The cadmium market was quiet in May. The prices for cadmium ingot 99.99%min and 99.995%min respectively hovered at RMB14,600-15,100/t (USD2,355-2,435/t) and RMB15,600/t (USD2,516/t) ex works. Price for cadmium oxide held at RMB17,500-18,500/t (USD2,516-2,984/t) ex works. Owing to weak demand from downstream industries, the cadmium market moved slowly with sporadic deals in spot market.
