The stainless steel market made some progress this month with prices of most products moving up slightly, supported by the price hike of the raw material, nickel. However, demand from downstream buyers remained restrained, so traders and producers were unable to raise their prices and most lacked confidence in the market outlook. Insiders predict that prices for stainless steel will remain stable in April.
