Arsenic metal export prices keep firm

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Dec 13 - Suppliers shared with Asian Metal that arsenic metal 99%min export prices are firm for the time being and they will hold the prices firm further in the remainder days of December.
A trader in Hunan, China shared with Asian Metal that arsenic metal 99%min export prices are hovering at USD1,480-1,550/t FOB China at present, unchanged from those of last week. “Our orders decrease slightly now while I believe consumers will return to the market in next Q1 and I intend to hold the prices firm for a while,” noted the source, who also noted that the domestic prices are stable at RMB8,800-9,000/t (USD1,443-1,476/t) at the moment.
The trader also claimed that he exported around 80 tons of arsenic metal 99%min in November and some of his regular clients are going to get away from the market to celebrate Christmas holiday in the near term.
According to another trader in Hunan, China, arsenic metal 99%min export market witnesses steady prices for the time being. “Arsenic metal 99%min export prices are USD1,550-1,600/t FOB China now, the same as those of last week,” disclosed the source, who also noted that he learnt a few factories are going to cease production to repair equipments.
According to the trader, he used to trade around 100 tons of arsenic metal 99%min per month and he has received two orders, of which the total volume is 40 tons, so far in December, and the deals were concluded at USD1,550/t FOB China.
