The seamless pipe market ran inactively this year even in the “golden September”. To specify, it performed inactively in August since many construction projects could not operate due to the high temperature. When it entered September, effective working days reduced influenced by the Mid-autumn and National Day holidays. Leading mills like Baosteel, Baotou Steel and Ansteel maintained list prices of seamless pipe stable for October, indicating they were not so optimistic about the coming market. In addition, small mills in Shandong Province began lowering ex-works prices since Mid-September because of price declines of raw materials as well as rising outputs.
