Influenced by the environmental protection policy especially in North China, the price of HR strip increased in the traditional dull season. Though some substandard mills were closed down and some mills began to maintain equipments, the market was still slow and the trading figures were still poor. September is the traditional peak season for steel consumption in China, but the price of HR strip is hard to go up sharply dragged by many factors. What matters most is the downstream demand, thus insiders suggest to be cautious of the coming market.
