The 20% of Chinese manganese export duty was officially removed on the very first day of 2013, which leads to increasingly active transactions in the first half of this year, with most overseas end users coming back to the normal purchasing channels
. According to statistics released by China customs, China exported 147,000 tons of manganese metals from January to June 2013, among which unwrought manganese (mainly includes manganese flake and manganese lump) amounted 119,600 tons and wrought manganese totaled 27,400 tons, and the former increased by 372% while the latter decreased by 44% year on year .
