BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Sep 13 - Chinese carbonate strontium 97% market sees decreasing prices as demand from consumers shows no signs of rebounding. The mainstream prices of the material go down to RMB4,800-5,100/t (USD784-833/t) ex-works at present, down slightly from those of August.

A carbonate strontium 97% producer in South China shared with Asian Metal that the plant lowers the quotation slightly to RMB5,000/t (USD817/t) ex-works for carbonate strontium 97% now, decreasing by RMB100/t (USD16/t) from that of ten days ago. “We just lower our offers a bit to promote deals for the time being.Asian Metal Copyright” explained the source.Asian Metal Copyright” explained the source.

The source revealed that they would like to accept prices lower than RMB5,000/t (USD817/t) ex-works if consumers have real intention to make substantial purchases.

A North China-based producer whose production volume is less than 100tpm noted that consumers delay purchasing further, which leads carbonate strontium 97% market to show soft tendencies further. Many suppliers return to the market from summer overhaul and lower their offers to test the market.

The source believes the mainstream prices of carbonate strontium 97% drop slightly to RMB4,800-5,100/t (USD784-833/t) ex-works at the moment and the prices will continue to decrease as suppliers compete for limited orders.
