Aluminum ingot price has been under production cost for a long time due to great oversupply in China. Relevant government departments want to guide aluminum industry through some policies, but it seems very hard for the hope to come true in the short term. Smelters insist on running normally and some newly-built capacities start running as scheduled. Thus Chinese primary aluminum production keeps growing, while demand for aluminum still not satisfying. Under the circumstances, aluminum ingot price will probably stay low in the following months.
