Chinese steel plate prices moved up in most leading markets during this month like Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin, driven by the low market inventory and good performance in futures market. The average price for Q235B 20mm in Chinese key cities went up by RMB92/t month on month from RMB3,563/t (VAT included) to RMB3,655/t (VAT included). In face of the unreleased demand from downstream industries, insiders deem that the upward price trend is hard to continue in August.
