The international iron ore index showed a continuous increase in July
. The price of 62%min iron ore climbed up from USD116.75/dt CFR China the beginning of July to USD132/dt CFR China on July 19th, up by USD15.25/dt. Influenced by the iron ore price fluctuation, the price of Chinese domestic steel products also peaked up in July . At the same time, main steel mills raised ex-work prices to avoid loss of profit, while the transaction was far from expectation . The price hike lacks support from downstream industries, insiders tend to hold suspicious attitudes toward the phenomenon . Asian Metal analysts forecast the price will show a slight downward trend in August .
