According to the market regulations in the past years, it is the time for suppliers to undersell antimony products to get back cash and for antimony price to sharp decrease. However, as most producers and traders suffered great losses in the past months, major market insiders supported the price and the market did not see much price decrease.
In June, the prices for antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min respectively decreased by RMB4,000/t (USD654/t) and RMB1,500/t (USD245/t) to RMB60,500-63,000/t (USD9,886-10,294/t) and RMB55,000-57,000/t (USD8,987-9,314/t) ex works, and some small suppliers accepted RB60,000/t (USD9,804/t) and RMB55,000/t (USD8,987/t) ex works to sell antimony ingot 99.65%min and trioxide 99.5%min. For VAT excluded antimony ingot, the price declined by RMB8,000/t (USD1,307/t) to RMB48,000-50,000/t (USD7,843-8,170/t) till the end of June, which indicated that the demand from overseas market was weak and smugglers had to lower the price step by step to attract orders.
