Magnesia market kept worsening in May and there were no signs to become better. Under the pressure of quiet purchase, Chinese magnesia smelters had to face the hardest time with few profits. Some small-sized companies shut down or stopped production to meet the dim market. As for magnesia export market, magnesia export prices kept moving down this month and overseas consumers held wait-and-see attitudes towards the market and expected lowest prices.
