The whole magnesia market didn’t pick up in April, and due to the sluggish steel industry, domestic demand for magnesia remained weak with prices unchanged. Chinese smelters complained about the high production costs and dull market. Meanwhile, magnesia export market didn’t warm up as well. Overseas consumers kept pressing down the prices, and they were not worry to place new orders. Magnesia export prices started to be soft.
