The domestic wire rod and rebar market seemed to fall into a black hole in first three months of this year, with prices decreasing sharply and continuously. Even in the so-called Golden March, the beginning of the boom season, construction steel prices proceeded the downward trend and traders’ confidence was weakened again. Both steel mills and traders burdened heavy losses in the first quarter due to the sharp price decline.
