Sanya is the southernmost city in Hainan province, China. It is revered for its tropical climate and is a popular tourist destination, noted for its sunshine, sea, beach, forest, hot springs, caves and charming pastoral scenery.

The beach stretches seven kilometers long, with 50-60 meters being shallow waters. The average seawater temperature is above 25℃. Tourists can enjoy many activities such as sunbathing, swimming, beach activities, diving and a variety of water sports. Sanya is a holiday paradise with blue sky, clear sea, as well as beautiful coconuts.

Horizon Resort Hotel faces with the Yalong Bay, located 30 kilometers east of Sanya, covers 18.6 square kilometers in total, with its three sides embraced by mountains and one side facing the sea.

Aviation

Sanya Phoenix International Airport is located 11 kilometers northwest of Sanya City. There are 107 operating airlines, including 76 domestic airlines, 4 international airlines and 27 international traveling interim ones. It connects with 72 cities, of which 42 are domestic, 2 regional, and 28 international. With common passports, citizens from the countries having diplomatic relations with China can apply visa upon arrival. Some group travelers from certain countries are exempted from applying visa for travels up to 15 days. Shuttle buses are available to and from the airport, and departing and arriving schedules are based on the flight schedules. It takes 40-50 minutes from the airport to reach Sanya city.

Railway

Sanya New Railway Station is located in Yazaitang, crossing Yanglan and Lizhigou. It stretches from Sanya to Haikou, connecting China mainland by Qiongzhou Strait ferries. There are direct lines to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, etc. It is an alternative means of transport to Sanya.

Highway

Hainan east and west highways are constructed in ring-shaped along the coast from Sanya and Haikou. Connecting Lingshui, Wanning and Qionghai and so on, the road condition is good and it is free to ride on during the entire journey with the picturesque senery along the road. If you drive by yourself, you can first go to Haian of Guangdong to access by ferries to arrive Haikou. Next you can choose east or west highway to Sanya. (East road has better road conditions and more traveling resources as well as less travel time to cost, we recommend it.

Ferry

It is the most comfortable and cozy way for travelers to access Sanya by ferries as Sanya is beautiful in its sea. Italy Costa Crociere S.p.A. and Hong Kong Star Cruises Group have aperiodical ferries from Hong Kong to Vietnam passing by Sanya. You can appreciate the beautiful landscape of Sanya before accessing the island.
