During July 11-12th, Frank Chen, manganese market analyst of Asian Metal visited China Hunan Tycoon Corporation (Shenzhen Marketing Center), Shenzhen Everstar Industrial Development Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Bei Er Nuo Trading Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Chinary Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Liyada Trading Co., Ltd., Guangdong Qingyuan Qingshan Stainless Steel Ltd., and was welcomed by the six enterprises.
On the morning of July 11th, Asian Metal visited China Hunan Tycoon Corporation (Shenzhen Marketing Center) and interviewed with Zeng Zhengmao, General Manager of the company, who mainly shared views with Frank Chen on current Chinese manganese market performance and the future trend. As one of the speakers, Mr. Zeng will make a report on the 8th Minor Metal Summit, which is to be held by Asian Metal during October 23-25th in Sanya, China.
On the afternoon of July 11th, Frank Chen visited Shenzhen Everstar Industrial Development Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Bei Er Nuo Trading Co., Ltd., who are both long-term members of Asian Metal and mainly deal with manganese trading and agents. In Everstar, Feng Haiying, the sales manager stated that as price competition becomes fiercer in Chinese manganese export market, traders have to seek for more reliable suppliers, as well as grasping the market trend in order to bid tenders of overseas end users. In Bei Er Nuo, Chen Kai, the vice General Manager, specially talked about manganese lump market performance after cancelation of Chinese manganese export duty with Frank Chen, and hoped to enhance communication and cooperation with Asian Metal in the future.
On the morning of July 12th, Asian Metal visited Shenzhen Chinary Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Liyada Trading Co., Ltd. In Chinary, Chen Yue, the Nonferrous Metals Manager, noted that some malicious biding behaviors disrupt a level playing field of the manganese export market, therefore, he chooses to hold wait-and-see attitude after taking the fact and weakening demand from overseas end users into consideration. In Liyada, Liu Chao, General Manager of the company, told Asian Metal that he will attend the 8th Minor Metal Summit in Sanya, China and hope to meet more Chinese manganese suppliers as well as overseas manganese participants there, as they aim to become a long-term and reliable Chinese manganese exporter.
On the afternoon of July 12th, Frank Chen visited Guangdong Qingyuan Qingshan Stainless Steel Ltd., and was welcomed by Zhang Chengxiong and Wang Zhang, the purchasing managers. Mr. Zhang told Asian Metal that the plant reduced the output of 200 series stainless steel from 33,000tpm to 25,000tpm in June due to poor market performance in the first half of this year, hence they decreased purchasing quantity for manganese flake accordingly. In addition, Mr. Zhang cited that Chinese stainless steel industry is still beset with difficulties in H2 of this year in view of the oversupply and unfavorable economic environment.
