Asian Metal visits Shanghai Minor Metals

On June 13th, Cassie Cao, Analyst of indium, gallium and germanium markets of Asian Metal, visited Shanghai Minor Metals Co., Ltd. and was welcomed by Mr. Tao Yu, General Manager of the company.
Shanghai Minor Metals Co., Ltd. works on sales and processing of rare metals. Main products are selenium, bismuth, gallium and cobalt and so on. The company is one the largest gallium traders in domestic market with a trading volume of nearly 50tpy. Anhui Minor Metals Co., Ltd. invested by the company, mainly focuses on processing minor metals in China.
Tao Yu guided Asian Metal to visit their high purity gallium production base, which is located in Bengbu, Anhui. The production base primarily produces 6N and 7N gallium and its production capacity is about 40tpy. The plant is in a stage of pilot run currently and will output in large volume a month later if products are qualified. The yield will be changed according to the market.
Mr. Yu also communicated the market information of 4N gallium with Asian Metal in details. From his point of view, gallium metal 99.99%min prices will rebound in the second half of the year. However, as demand is still weak, the related government departments should implement some measures to push the market to recover.
