On June 4th, Victor Hu, senior analyst of Asian Metal and Frank Chen, manganese market analyst visited Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co., Ltd., and were welcomed by Zhou Jianhua, the vice General Manager and Shao Xingping, the vice sales administer.
Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Group is a large trans-regional and multi-industry private enterprise who has been mainly supported by local governments at all levels. It is listed as one of the leading top 50 industrial enterprises in Ningxia and one of the large key corporations by Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Government. The Group administers 9 subsidiary companies including Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Company limited, Ningxia Huaxia Special Steel Company Limited, Ningxia Wanlong New Materials Company Limited, etc, owning RMB20.98 billion assets in total with over 20,000 work staffs.
Mr. Zhou specially introduced manganese business of the company to Asian Metal. Tianyuan achieved a manganese flake output of 178,000t in 2012, and keeps a production capacity of 200,000tpy currently, which is planned to be expanded to 500,000tpy at the end of 2013. Meanwhile, Tianyuan holds long-term cooperation relationship with mainstream Chinese steel mills and stainless steel mills, and is expanding the export market actively for the time being. In addition, Mr. Zhou also shared views with Asian Metal on manganese market performance of this year, and he thought that there is still room for the prices to decrease further after taking weak domestic demand and overseas buyers' stepping into summer vacation into consideration. Afterwards, Mr. Shao guided Asian Metal to visit manganese flake workshops of the company.
