Baosteel Resources visits Asian Metal

On January 31, 2013, Huang Wuhua, the sales manager of titanium department of Baosteel Resources visited Asian Metal, and both sides shared the information about Chinese titanium ore market and downstream markets such as titanium dioxide, titanium sponge and titanium products.
Baosteel Resources Co., Ltd., a soley owned subsidiary to Baosteel Group, mainly operates business of investment, trading and logistic services in relation to iron, coals, nonferrous metals and alloys, stainless raw materials and scrap steels and others. The company pursues a win-win international cooperation, focuses on globalization of allocation in aspect of mineral resources, contributes its every effort to providing the high quality products and value-added services for clients. And the company strives to become a first-class provider of mineral resources.
The company started trading titanium ilmenite from 2011, with most of the material imported from Australia and India. The trading volume is about 10,000tpm of imported titanium ilmenite. Mr. Huang expresses that they mainly sell the goods to producers of titanium dioxide, titanium slag and reduced titanium. He thinks that the future market of titanium dioxide is not very optimistic with slow demand, and states that the market of reduced titanium is largely stable while titanium slag market keeps sluggish.
