Asian Metal visits Zhejiang Kaihua Yuantong Silicon Industry Co., Ltd.

On 4th September, 2012, Daly Lu, the analyst of polysilicon of Minor Metal Dept. in Asian Metal, visited Zhejiang Kaihua Yuantong Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhang Dewquan friendly talked with Daly, and expressed their opinions on the silicon metal powder market.

Zhejiang Kaihua Yuantong Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 2000 and specializes in the research and manufacturing concerning silicon metal, silicon metal powder. The forerunner of which, the earliest silicon metal manufacturer in China, was built in 1978. Accumulated with so many years of specialty, the annual production capacity of the company has reached 80,000 tons for silicon metal powder.

Mr. Zhang told Asian Metal that owing to the weak demand from the polysilicon market, the silicon metal powder market remains quiet. Currently, the operating rate for silicon metal powder factories is low, and only some large-sized silicon metal powder factories keep running. Mr. Zhang also noted that they always sell silicon metal powder to most of the polysilicon plants in the domestic and overseas markets. Many of the downstream customers reduce the output and the demand for silicon metal powder decrease accordingly. The silicon metal powder market will keep dull in the near future.

Mr. Zhang appreciates Asian Metal and expected that Asian Metal could focus on the object and fair market analysis in the future. Furthermore, they expressed suggestions to Asian Metal about the product development. Also Mr. Zhang will attend the Minor Metal Summit 2012 in Sanya, which is held by Asian Metal on 24th -26th October.
