On the morning of October 27, Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. held the ceremony celebrating the start of operation at its Lukuni copper project in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Huayou Cobalt announced late last year that it planned to invest USD147 million through its subsidiary Congo DongFang International Mining (CDM) to build an electro-deposited copper project with a production capacity of 30,000tpy in the Lukuni region in the south of DRC.
