Fujian Kuncai Technology's 500,000t titanium dioxide project goes into operation

Kuncai Technology (Jiangyin) Industry Park has witnessed the great event of groundbreaking ceremony of Zhengtai annual scheduled production of 500,000 tons of titanium dioxide and 500,000 tons of ferric oxide and Fushi annual scheduled production of 200,000 tons of titanium dichloride that was held in Fuzhou Jiangyin Gangcheng Economic Zone on August 16, 2019.
Kuncai Science and Technology Jiangyin Industrial Park plans to build an annual output of 500,000 tons of automobile grade, cosmetics grade titanium dioxide and iron oxide, becoming China's largest integrated enterprise in research and development, production and sales of high-end titanium dioxide by chloride process and iron oxide. The project covers an area of about 1,158 mu, including Fushi New Material Project and Zhengtai New Material Project. After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual output value will reach RMB25 billion, the annual net profit will exceed RMB5 billion, and the annual tax revenue will be RMB2.3 billion.
At the same time, based on the annual capacity of 30,000 tons, Kuncai Technology Pearlescent Materials uses titanium dichloride produced by the project of 200,000 tons of titanium dichloride annually, the annual cost of raw materials will be saved by about RMB48.3 million in the future.
In addition to the raw materials needed for pearlescent materials, the remaining titanium dichloride in the project can also be converted into food-grade titanium dioxide for high-end areas such as food, medicine, cosmetics, etc. At the same time, the remaining ferric chloride can be converted into food-grade iron oxide pigments, which can be used for coating sugar coloring of various tablets and pills. According to the project feasibility analysis report, the project is expected to convert the remaining products into 15,000 tons of titanium dioxide and 14,000 tons of iron oxide, except for self-use products.
