Driven by steel price increase in the past several weeks some steel producers resumed production in November. However, steel price began to drop again in later November and steel producers suffered loss again. In general, calcined bauxite market ran slowly with steady price. After 18th National CPC Congress completed, some shaft-kiln producers operated furnaces secretly, but they still faced the shortage of bauxite. Export market was flat as most Chinese producers and traders ran out of quotas.
